Subject: fonts with xdvi
Reply-To: swift@bu.edu
The -fn cmdline option works to specify a font with xdvi-18d.
but:
It changes only the fonts in the buttons, not in the file-selection browser. I
don't know how to change them in the file browser; is that a generic X
resource?
A resource specification of xdvi.font: or xdvi*font: doesn't work.
-fn is not in the man page or the help summary
TIP:
To keep just one set of pk fonts around, compile xdvi with your printer's
default mfmode and bdpi. (change xdvi.c and xdvi.h: search and replace on "cx"
and "300").
600dpi fonts make even shrinkfactor 4 too big. Change the shrink factors on
the buttons in events.c, and make the default larger in xdvi.c. For 600dpi I
found 3, 5, 7, 8 to be good button values, with default of 7.
